Who We Are

The Who We Are Project is a nonprofit organization challenging the dominant narrative of our nation’s founding, demonstrating how anti-Black racism was and remains a central part of U.S. history, and working to promote education, discourse, healing and change.

Our Mission

  • Expose

the role of anti-Black racism and white supremacy throughout history up to the present.

  • Activate

all of us to learn this history, then fight for change.

  • Inspire

the next generation of citizen-historians, truth seekers, and activists.

Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America

The Who We Are Project is an outgrowth of a talk that our founder, Jeffery Robinson, has been giving for over 10 years on the history of anti-Black racism and white supremacy in the U.S. This talk forms the basis of the feature-length documentary film, “Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America,” which is available on streaming platforms, for purchase, and to license for educational uses.
